In 1898, Reverend W.G. Andrews gave a well-received lecture about the important early leaders of the Church in America, tracing all the way back to the 1640s beginning with Puritan leader Thomas Hooker in Connecticut. His famous lecture was published by The Protestant Episcopal Review the following year.
