MY LIFE AND WORK is an autobiography by Henry Ford, inventor of the Model T and perfecter of the assembly line for the manufacture of automobiles. Ford also pioneered "welfare capitalism" by introducing the $5, eight-hour day for much of his workforce in 1914.
