Good Ship Frankenstein

Emily woke up to find that their ship was lost and all the humans on board were killed. The only living beings left, were drones, genetically engineered expendable soldiers, created to fight. Emily was a drone once, but had been brought to life illegally and taught to be human. could these drones learn to be human too, or are they doomed to be lost in space with no directive and no master?
