An Ocean within Each Puddle

An Ocean within Each Puddle is an anthology of the author’s own poems written during the past forty-four years. They range from 1967 through 2010. The title stems from the author’s belief that poetry, like all art forms, should be as basically simple as possible. The author likes to think that God and love are the nouns and Nature is the adjectives. David Woods enjoys writing about people, especially his family. He hopes his book is a work of love.

David says, “I write with my spirit, my heart, and my soul, and I edit with my mind. I try to include as much concrete imagery as possible. The major character trait of poetry is to be beautiful.”
