Mahogany's Pond

Mahogany L. Johnson is a strong minded, gorgeous, black sistah who stops at nothing to see her dream materialize. She begins her journey in D.C while living in an immaculate, three bedroom, beautifully-layered, stone and brick home equip with a two-car garage, better known as her castle. She spent the last four years re-modeling & decorating it since the divorce from her ex-husband. She's still standing at age twenty-eight even though her ex did everything in his power to leave her with nothing but debt, angry-woman-syndrome, std's and the memories of his felonious infidelities. To rise above the ashes, Mahogany was still willing to be his friend to show she had truly moved on from all of the pain he'd caused her. With the love of her mother and father, two best girl friends from high school, Shay and Leslie (who are also in their late twenties) walk beside her through the trials and tribulations. She struggles to over-come all that is tossed her way while doing her best to maintain a good spirit. An unorthodoxed trust fund of ninety-five thousand dollars from her recently deceased grandmother she'd kept hidden from her ex made everything bearable and certainly easier to pick up her life. Her only concern was how bright her future could become after shedding the dead weight that held her down destined to see her fail.
