This is a novella having just over 27,000 words. It is historically accurate; but it uses fictional characters to enhance actual people and to tell the story; and it is a sequel to two of the author's previous novels: "The Covert Pakistan Accord" and "The Tampico Alliance". It covers today's Middle East problems and developments; including what might happen between Israel & Iran in the very near future. It also covers in detail the demise of bin Laden at the hands of the Navy SEAL's and the use of Stealth Drones.
The Boudreau Family Saga: A series of novels by Joe Zang:
The Hoodoo Man - The first in the series; a novel that introduces Clovis Boudreau as the family patriarch. His son, Aristide, is a Louisiana police detective seeking to solve mysterious murders. Clovis's grandson, Freddie, is pursuing a career with the US Coast Guard.
The Jihad Access - Second in the series; a novella where Freddie Boudreau inadvertently stumbles upon a sleeper terrorist intent on using weapons of mass destruction in New Orleans during the combined events: the Super Bowl and Mardi Gras Festival. A great deal of research covers how the duties of the US Coast Guard have become so important since 9/11. The novel has a bonus, non-fiction Appendix entitled: Why Islamic Extremists Evolved. It offers a broad, historical, and factual view of terrorism in the world.
The Tampico Alliance - Third in the series; a novel with retired Aristide Boudreau who combines efforts with the US Coast Guard, the CIA, and Interpol to stop drug trafficking in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. Be prepared for a surprise ending.
The Covert Pakistan Accord - The fourth in the series; an historical fiction & theory as to why there is a secret agreement between the United States & Pakistan concerning Al Qaeda. Clovis Boudreau is a covert operative sent behind enemy lines several weeks before D-Day during WWII. This full-length novel is historically accurate and offers plausible theories concerning probable classified material; and is interspersed with fascinating diversions; while it excitingly provides insight to many current events, including the demise of Osama bin Laden.
Pandemic Rumblings: The Ominous Middle East Calamity - Fifth in the series and a sequel to both The Covert Pakistan Accord and the Tampico Alliance. Antoine Boudreau, Jr., Clovis Boudreau's nephew, is back, along with two non-Boudreau characters from The Tampico Alliance: Charles Gentilly & Sarah Dereham. She is the granddaughter of Jack Dereham; another character used in The Covert Pakistan Accord. This novel is an historical fiction taking place mostly between 1990 and 2012. The fictional characters, which are fictionally intermingled with actual persons occasionally, are used solely to enhance the telling of the story with chronological facts.
