Here is an Old Testament example of the parable of the sheep that has gone astray. Jonah remains unrepentant to the end, and one of the themes of the book is, “Don’t be like Jonah.

The book also reminds us that God is Lord of all, and the good news of his mercy, love, and salvation must be proclaimed to all the world.
