Jan and Marie live in World War One Belgium. All is well until the Germans march off their parents, leaving the children on their own. Now the Twins and their dog must go on a quest to find their parents and become a family once more. Follow their adventurous and sometimes dangerous journey part of which takes place on a canal boat. They meet and befriend many people on the search for their parents. This is a fascinating and an inspiring story and well worth reading! Illustrated with creative and drawings by the author.
