Virika - Maiden

Virika is a young maiden of the Cavers tribe of the Peoples. She dreams of some day becoming a warrior of her tribe. In this novel she takes the first few steps towards her goal. Of course it is not easy. She finds a magic talisman. She invents a new weapon. She rescues some kidnapped tribe-sisters. But most of all she meets Lonk. Lonk is the boy she will fall in love with but she must keep the romance a secret because Lonk is not of her kind. He is a Bansh, which is a young male Banshee the traditional enemy of the Cavers. There is a great battle scene with young female warriors riding giant saddle hawks.
