ABOUT THE BOOK
Since the debut of the iPhone, people have flocked to the phone store to buy this great tool. The iPhone does double duty and works great for teenagers who want to keep in contact with their friends or catch up on the latest social media gossip, but it's also great for business men and women who need to keep up to date with their clients and customers. With such a wide demographic of users, it's no surprise why this device is number one in sales across the country and gets such a large crowd at a new model debut.

EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK
1. Once you get your phone home and unbox your new device, you will have to boot up your computer and open the iTunes application on your desktop or laptop. Your new phone will show the iTunes icon at the top of the screen and a picture of the iPhone USB cord on the bottom. This means that the white USB cord will need to be connected to your computer and then plugged into your phone to get started with your new device.
For users using the iPhone 4 with the new iOS 5 update and those using the iPhone 4S, you will not have to activate the phone using iTunes, however you will still need to go through the above steps to register your phone and your iTunes account.
2. You'll now see a screen that will welcome you to your new device and ask you for some brief information to get you registered with Apple and register your device with your computer and with your Apple ID. Authorizing your computer to sync with your phone will also allow you to set up your iTunes store account for application and music purchases. When your phone is registered and authorized, you can then also update your phone through your iTunes desktop application.
For those who are new with the iPhone or smartphones in general, syncing your phone to your computer allows you to move data from your computer to the iPhone. This may be music, pictures, apps downloaded on iTunes, movies, TV shows and more. You are also able to remove data from your iPhone by syncing it to your computer and using the desktop application.
