The gruesome murder of a family leads Detective Lomas Calloway to Montauk, a small resort town on the eastern tip of Long Island, where he and partner Samantha Weller try to head off further massacre promised by a message written in blood. The blood trail leads them to Alan Craft, a distraught ex-con and Iraqi War veteran, and the police cover up that led to the massacre and kidnapping of a young girl.
