TRIALS AND TRIUMPHS OF A MINISTER'S WIFE

The preparing of this volume was as much of a surprise to the writer as it may be to our friends, indeed, I had never dreamed of such a thing until about fourteen months ago. It was in a church service when the gentle Holy Spirit appeared and as sudden as a thunder clap out of a clear sky, dropped the idea of the book into my waiting mind just as distinctly as though someone had dropped a volume into my hands. At first I felt too unworthy to write any of my own brief experiences but the conviction of duty has grown with each successive chapter and I have felt the kiss of Divine approval with the penning of each page.
A large part of the work has been done at odd moments while we as a family were engaged in revivals and it has been a strenuous task which has meant early rising and much prayer, but we shall feel repaid if it shall accomplish any good to those who may care to read.
