What makes sociopaths dangerous is not so much what they do, but how they think. In particular, it is their worldview – including their self-concept and opinions of others – that drive them to the behaviors that so often make the news.

This book is intended as a primer on the worldview of the sociopath, in order to help people who think they are dealing with one, or a gaggle, to determine how best to respond. It has been written without judgment, and may therefore often sound as if it is coming straight from the mind of a sociopath – which is exactly the point – since a sociopath doesn’t care what you think of him, it is best to approach the study as if in a native environment.

This short work is meant to be evocative, not exhaustive – to give you a sense of how the sociopath understands the world and his place in it. You will not find examples of sociopathic behavior in this title, or vague concepts such as “the sociopath has no conscience,” both of which miss the point are somewhat laughable. The sociopath does not understand the concept of conscience because he views the world and human society as a teeming jungle of competition with no rules and certainly no god acting as a cosmic referee to keep things fair. He understands he is the only one responsible for his life, and the only one who cares enough to get what he wants. And he is content to let the common person think about such ghosts as morality and fairness while he is busy getting what he wants.
