This is a reassessment of the study made by Dr. L.A.Sakes around 120 years ago which went unnoticed for this long time. In a recent resurgence of the study of Early Christianity in India which started with the First International Conference on Early Christiantiy in India in 2003, there had been a resurgence and interest in the subject. Prof. Ninan takes up the study of the relevance and importance of Sakes' studies and evaluates it from the modern scholarship.
