During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was I that carried you.” These words are from the poem “Footprints.” And one woman had felt these words so true in her heart, mind, and soul in this inspiring account of her life.
Our Footprints: A Spiritual Journey is about a woman’s struggle against the feelings of being unwanted, fragile, and inferior toward the people most important to her, who manipulated her for her lack of self-worth and selflessness, and how she was able to overcome the various trials that came upon her.
Amidst the emotional distress due to the death of her mother, the heartache brought about by her husband’s indifference toward her as a person, the pain of her warm-again-and-cold-again relationships with her sisters, and the misery caused by so-called friends who misunderstood her, she turned to God and prayed for peace, harmony, and love to prevail upon every one of them, while she coped with her own demons. God’s answer to her every prayer built up her faith and, soon after, the discovery of her purpose in this life.
