When Kristy Carnes steps off the bus in Hollywood, she thinks her dreams have come true. She is determined to break into show business and become a big star. But first, the 18-year-old beauty has to find a place to live and get a job to supplement the few meager dollars she has managed to bring with her. She considers herself fortunate to meet Billy, a handsome man who offers to let her stay in his apartment "for a few days."
