Gems To Cherish For My Daughter

My reason for compiling this book is so my daughter and fellow sisters can have a legacy. I wanted to create an heirloom for the many generations of women to come, an heirloom worth far more than rubies. An heirloom that will empower women and equip them with gems to cherish for life. Things I wish I would have known before making the many mistakes I've made, just simple life lessons that make your journey into womanhood less bumpy. Everyone knows the African Proverb " It takes a village to raise a child." I can surely attest to that; it has taken a mighty big village to get me to this point in life. Many of village to get me to this point in life. Many of the village that has raised me I've never had the pleasure of meeting. Nevertheless, their words have influenced me and raised me into the strong woman I am today. Women such as Harriet Tubman, Maya Angelou, Marianne Williamson, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Oprah Winfrey, just to name a few. These women have taught me about courage and limitless opportunities. This is a collection of many quotes, bible verses, and excerpts, which have molded my self-worth, self-esteem, faith, and wisdom. I pray that it does the same for you as you read them.
