A short story about two sisters who discover darkness doesn't need the night to invade their peaceful home. Sara falls victim to the darkness that invades their peaceful home and a small gathering of friends. One friend fortunately calls to avoid the party altogether leaving on the sisters and a friend to help Sara out of the darkness and back to the land of the living.
Sara finds herself asleep for six days after opening the door to find nothing but darkness in the middle of the day. Mickey tries to convince Nita, Sara's sister that she will have to step up to the plate to help her sister survive the awful thing that has invaded not just their home, but their lives and her sister.
The girls are quickly lost and turn to Sebast, aka Magic Man, and his Maman to help Sara and bring her back from wherever she has slipped to. Magic, mystery, love and faith all combine together to take the girls on what begins as a normal girls weekend and quickly escalates into a life and death struggle for Sara.
This is an introductory short story for "Ain't No Sense in Gathering Spanish Moss."
