Holy Luck

Holy Luck is a poetry collection by Eugene H. Peterson, renowned pastor, translator of the multimillion-selling bible translation The Message, and best-selling author of more than thirty books. Peterson spent much of his career writing Holy Luck, with works falling under three separate themes - Holy Luck, Rustling Grass, and Smooth Stones.

Influenced at a young age by David's Psalms, Peterson has found ways to incorporate poetry and the strength of words into years of sermons and books. Peterson states "I found it significant that the biblical prophets and psalmists were all poets and that they provided me with congenial company for integrating my own prophetic and psalmic work, my preaching and praying." Until this release most of his poems were only shared with friends, family, and congregations.
