The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER is one of Poe's best-known works. The story follows the unnamed narrator visiting a childhood friend, Roderick Usher, who seems to be descending into madness. Usher informs the narrator that his sister has died, and asks for help in entombing her in a crypt built within the house of Usher. After he burial, bizarre and macabre events force the narrator to question whether the sister might really be dead.
