Dignity is a Renewable Resource... and Courage Takes Balls

Balls of wisdom are slightly less polished than pearls of wisdom, but are more applicable in day-to-day life. Who wears pearls everyday anyway, especially in this economy? And let’s be frank. I’m 30 and I don’t know if my thoughts yet constitute pearls of wisdom. They’re more like little balls of wisdom that may someday develop into pearls. Balls, it is.
I gave myself a project to experience one new thing every month for a year and ended up gathering little balls of wisdom along the way. This turned into a profound learning experience for me. What started as a fun little idea to step outside of my comfort zone to do small new things opened my eyes to the world around me and has forever changed how I perceive myself, the world, and the people in it.
