Donnie Donaldson is your average fourteen year old boy. His twin sister, Jenny, is and has always been his best friend. They live quiet normal lives in your average small town in rural Oklahoma. They are a small, close knit family. They each pitch in and help out around their small plot of land. They help with the garden. They help with the lawn. Just a normal life for this part of the country.
Things are about to change. Donnie and his sister discover their parents are not what they seem. Their family is part of a world of magic hidden from the world as they know it. They are at an age where there abilities are about to surface and they must be tested to discover what branch of magic they possess and they can be trained accordingly.
Their father has been elected as leader for a Council of Elders and they must attend his coronation. They will be introduced to these elders and their families. They will be surrounded by rich important beings. So their relaxing Spring Break away from school and classes is going to be filled with tests, classes, and adults.
What they discover is beyond their fantasies. Placed in the care of their Advisor Rachel they are befriended by a pixie, an elf, and other beings from mythology the two find the week is not going to be what they expected. They find in a world where they are not quite normal, they are actually extraordinary.
During their week they will go on a journey where they discover magic and myth, family and friends. And if they survive they might discover themselves.
