Tel Aviv, The Show Must Go On is an autobiographical story of an aspiring young Israeli actor trying to make a career in theatre while juggling his personal life against the backdrop of a war-weary country. In Israel, theatre became a soothing antidote to the ravages of war inflicted on people’s psyche. There is no other industrialized country in recent times where theatre and war cohabitated in such a peculiar symbiosis. “The show must go on” acquires a unique meaning when actors must go on stage minutes after learning of fatalities.
