Fossil fuels are gone, the United States is history, and sixteen year-old Tova Delgado is stuck at school while her little brother’s life is on the line.

Desperate for energy, the Federation backs a shady neuroscience project that releases valuable genetic energy from those with chromosomal abnormalities. Tova’s brother Gabriel has Down syndrome and Autism, making him a perfect subject for energy extraction. When the Western Federation requires all citizens to be tested for energy potential, Tova joins a student rebellion and vows to save her brother. Tova’s opposition team plans to shut down the genetic energy data system with a computer virus, and nothing is going to stop her from succeeding.
