Anxious to show her newly acquired stage skills to the world, Mally Winthrop, a young dancer from Minnesota heads to the Big Apple, Broadway and its dreaded auditions. Moving closer to the front of the line she meets Bronx native, Patricia Byrne, her antithesis in looks and character.

As rehearsals began, the cast was getting acquainted. Putting a group of strangers together for a nine-month tour created familiarity and for some, intimacy.
