Mither

“Mither” was written in its entirety after Maxine suffered a stroke on her left side, leaving her with complete left side paralysis. Maxine was left-handed and grew up in a time when some educators taught left-handed students to write right-handed. Even though Maxine normally wrote left-handed, she was able to write “Mither” with the use of her right hand. “Mither” is good wholesome reading for the whole family.

Despite the devastation of the stroke, Maxine did not let her outside circumstances dictate how she perceived life. “Mither” is a celebration of life, amid hardship and adversity, and is an inspiration to us all.
