24 Karat - The Warlords of Sierra Leone

Trained as guerrilla fighters under Gaddafi, the two eventually start their own rebel groups in Sierra Leone and Liberia and force their way into high political offices. The story follows one family and their life during the civil war starting in 1991, a physician from Doctors Beyond Borders and a UN Intelligence Officer who all must find evidence to bring down the vicious dictators and put a stop to the fighting. The crimes against the people are shocking and brutal but the story provides some touching moments and a sense of pride in all humanitarians. Not recommended for ages 15 and under.
