How to Join The Geopiracy Project

Geopiracy is “the unjustifiably false attribution of location in the visual arts.” Victims include those from the locations filmed, the locations falsely attributed, audiences geographically aware and those unaware. Total economic harm inflicted can be schematized as a chart of various foregone use and non-use values. The project establishes guidelines for classifying false attribution in films for locations familiar to students and professors.
