Shakespeare Simplified

This book paraphrases seventeen of William Shakespeare's most popular plays. In addition, there are scholarly commentaries on the plays from various literary analysts of the nineteenth century. The appendix gives the student of Shakespeare more insight into the times by providing information on clothing worn in the Elizabethan era and the last direct descendant of the Bard of Avon. The volume is illustrated, and includes a photograph of the great American Shakespearian actor, Edwin Booth. The aim of the book is to prompt an appreciation and love for Shakespeare in the less experienced student, and yet may offer some insight to those who have mastered the plays.
