Xannefly

This science fiction story is set in the 26th century. Old Earth is in quarantine and most of humanity is set up on various planets near the center of the galaxy. In this story the crew of the Tafilalt are short of funds and they aim to rent their male navigator, Amnon Bar Tur out for a six week temporary marriage to a Councilwoman from the planet Xannefly. That is, he will be rented out if they can land on the planet without breaking up in the atmosphere for Xannefly is the most dangerous of all the planets to land on. Malin Strand is the Scandinavian pilot of the ship and she is the only woman on an otherwise all-male ship crewed by men from Middle Eastern planets.
