Luke's Heart

The author recounts her life beginning in her teen years during the 1970s in a small town in lower Alabama. Growing up with close ties to friends and then the realities of life enfold. Luke is a friend that lives a very different life than the author and yet very similar. The author is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and is a Christian. She is trying to make sense of the world in which she lives.
