Haunted Ties

Memphis, the 1970s, and someone is making neckties that constrict on the wearer's neck, choking the victim to death. An unemployed man, a medical student, an elderly man in a retirement home, a factory worker, a minister, and the mayor are the dead so far. A newspaper reporter is assigned a profile of the prime suspect, a German immigrant chemist, and eventually has a life or death showdown with the killer.
