The Welsh Root

Albright Manor, an uncharted island in the raw sea of England, is ruled by Lady Ead, a descendent of Welsh prince Cerdic and his Cutthroats, faces the scourge of the Black Plague as it kills and kills. Lady Ead fights for personal and sexual freedom from church and ignorance, and to keep alive her Welsh values even when it means killing off those who would do Albright harm. She redefines family by love and loyalty rather than by blood and church vows.
