Rich Mullins was one of the most gifted musical visionaries of the twentieth century. He was thought by some to be a modern-day prophet. Others claim he was a saint. He was a radical believer, an original spirit devoted to a mighty God.
This true story is seen through the eyes of close companion and confidante Pam Richards. She presents Richard's more human side in an intense and sometimes broken friendship which called on him to demonstrate the love of God. She learned that God's love is lived out in our relationships. "The truth of our experience gives rise to our song. When it touches a heart, that song plants a seed to grow and bloom." Through laughter and tears, despite differences and obstacles, their friendship led Rich Mullins and Pam Richards both closer to God.
Born in 1956, Pamela Richards is an artist by temperament, inclination and training, although she has spent most of her professional career as a sign language interpreter. She has also done sign language illustration, raised three children, and cared for her parents.
She enjoys photography, building websites and making video presentations. She feels led to promote the work of artists whose work touches hearts. She gives out of her creative gifts rather than material wealth.
She has spent the last four years as a writer, compiling memoirs of her experiences with Rich Mullins, who has profoundly influenced her spirituality and concept of creativity.
She has learned in recent years the importance of receiving what God offers as well as giving. And that those who mourn will not be left uncomforted. She seeks to share this message through her writing.
Pam worships with a Quaker community where she lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
