Consider the Rose: A Story of Love, Survival, Triumph and Hope

Darlene is a musician, teacher, wife, mother, daughter and sister. She grew up in semi-rural southeastern Pennsylvania. After receiving her BS in Music Education from West Chester State College (now university), she taught middle school general music and chorus as well as elementary band. After marrying at age 23, her work included teaching private piano lessons and conducting church choirs as well as serving as a church organist. In 2001, she divorced after 24 years of marriage. “This is when my real education began” Darlene exclaims. This book is a result of this education. She is now pursuing her doctorate in Spiritual Counseling.
