The Adventures of Gil Blas of Santillane

GIL BLAS follows the life a poor Spanish stableboy whose opportunity to attend a university is derailed after falling in with a group of robbers. He eventually becomes a valet, giving him the opportunity to observe many different types of people. Adaptable and quick-witted, young Gil Blas learns to ingratiate himself with others and climb his way to the top.
