"Mr Cabel is a native of East Saint Louis, Illinois. By ghetto standards he had a good childhood. At an early age, he and his three brothers watched as their mother worked nights while attending Community College during the day. While going from welfare to the work force, she managed to find time to cook and discipline as she taught critical life lessons.
Early in life, Mr Cabel vowed to leave East Saint Louis never to return. Enlisting in the US Navy at the age of twenty one, his military experience proved to be an education on life, having to overcome cultural and stereotypical obstacles and learning how to cope with ethnic and cultural differences. As he rose through the ranks of the military, he also learned how to cope with the on going challenge of a military career and marriage."
