This is a short book (about 136 pages) on dogs - descriptions of different breeds, and illnesses and cures - written by Mrs. Harriet Anne De Salis. Mrs. De Salis wrote a number of practical, short books on pets, poultry, gardening and cooking. Although written in the late 1800s, Mrs. De Salis's books are as relevant today as when written. It has an excellent index but, sadly, no illustrations.
