Vintage Crochet: Instructions and Patterns

From the author's collection of nineteenth century ladies magazines and handicrafts books, we present these lovely antique works of art with instructions on how you may replicate them. May be useful for the beginner (clear and simple illustrations are given on the major crochet stitches) as well as the one quite skillful in this type of needle work. The reader will find that the basic fashion for sweaters, house-slippers, caps, and the like has never really changed much through the years and that these standard patterns will prove to be useful in creating one's own heirloom creations.
