Memoirs of Benjamin Franklin

This version of Memoirs of Benjamin Franklin is an 1839 edition and contains Franklin's essays, letters, miscellaneous writings that deal with morals, politics, economy, and philosophy including the life of Dr. Franklin, a letter from Mr. Abel James, a letter from Benjamin Vaughan, continuation of life begun at Passy near Paris in 1784, memorandum, life of Franklin continued by Dr. Stuber, extracts from Franklin's will, and the following Franklin writings: the examination of Dr. Franklin before the British House of Commons, relative to the repeal for the American Stamp Act, narrative of massacre of friendly Indians in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania 1764, introduction to historical review of the constitution of government of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Franklin's motion for prayers in the convention at Philadelphia in 1787 to revise the then existing Articles of Confederation.
