Writers as Markrs : A Study of the American Revolution

This book undertakes a study of the major American writings from the imposition of the various British measures in the American colonies in 1763 to the colonists’ Declaration of Independence in 1776. It seeks to establish the phenomenal role of writings in shaping the minds and characters of the colonists, in successfully guiding them through the Revolution, and in laying the foundation for a switchover from the colonies to a republic.
