Penelope is an 11-year old girl who lives in the United States. Her favorite animal is the platypus. During her first vacation to King Island, Australia, Penelope discovered a secret, intelligent group of platypuses. They speak English, play musical instruments, and joke around with each other.
Last year, Penelope traveled back to King Island and formed The Platypus Philharmonic Orchestra, an orchestra made up of all the talented platypus musicians. She hadn’t anticipated a return to King Island for this year.
The platypuses are now planning a big summer event. They decided to hold the First Platypus Olympics. Many plans and decisions have to be made in preparation for their summer games. Can these special platypuses make their first Olympics a success without Penelope’s help?
