Set in the 2030s, this short story depicts how daily life might be affected by climate change, and following a giant hurricane that wipes out New York City. Told by a teenaged girl in upstate New York, the needs and myths of her society and themes such as forced evacuation and the lack of power or decent transportation have created a world we would not recognize; and yet, there is one constant that remains; love.
