Set at a western theme park in North Dakota, Ranch Park is the debut of a brand new series of rural American themed mysteries featuring Will Nickerson, small town merchant turned amateur sleuth. In Ranch Park, Will gets more than he had bargained for when he volunteered to drive the hayrides at the sprawling Dakota Ranch Park, located on the shores of North Dakota's Lake Sakakawea. A staff member is found murdered! And Will finds himself drafted into the role of detective, teamed up with a beautiful and alluring summer camp counselor, Jenine Mescall, to try and find out just whodunit. The language is clean and the story is light and breezy, packed with lots of intriguing subplots, surprising twists and turns, now and then a shock, plus a playful romance, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of a state that is truly one of America's best-kept secrets.
