Dr. Daniel R. Campbell is a professor of cultural history at Lansing Community College. He has exposed himself to many cultures. At the College, he has been an advocate for veterans and minorities. He has published previously on the Potawatomi in the Michigan Archaeologist. Before teaching in Lansing, Campbell worked for Parents Magazine, the Republican Congressional, Senatorial, and National Campaign Committees, the Democratic National Committee, and as Economic Development Director of the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce and other important places. He has been interested in the Potawatomi since he was a boy in Michigan in the 1950s. His previous work focused on Potawatomi village structure, environmental exploitation, and trade. These original records allow us to get as close to these people in the second quarter of the 1800s as history permits.
