A Critical Study of Mahesh Dattani's Plays

Mahesh Dattani is probably the best known playwright in India. His plays are performed and read almost everywhere in India and abroad. One of the reasons for Dattani’s success as a dramatist appears to be his artistic response to the problems of the time. Mahesh Dattani and others like Girish Karnad, Vijay Tendulkar, etc. have sensitively identified the problems troubling Indian society and have creatively presented these problems in their plays.
