Just as Monet has suspected, she and Tony hit it off really well. They have the kind of immediate attraction and electricity that leads to the kind of amazing, intense sex that makes her forget everything that came before. They spend hours together, enjoying each other and giving each other pleasure. When Monet leaves to get food and drink, Tony seems to be warning her. She doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but she soon finds out when she sees the rough men gathered in the bar room. They are looking for Tony, but they are willing to settle for the distraction of her until they find him. Will Tony be able to save her from a lifetime of loneliness, and who will save him from these men who only mean to do him harm?
Excerpt:
“Hard again Tony? I thought I’d go down and get us both something to eat and drink.” He rose up on one elbow, enjoying her wanting to please him. He didn’t want her getting too close to him though, he was already aware of how bad that was an idea health wise. He didn’t want her to get hurt and he knew other gunslingers could show up looking for him there. He reached out for her hand, running his fingers in the palm of it, and causing the hairs on her arm to stand on end.
“Be careful, okay?” She looked at him puzzled. What should I be careful about, she couldn’t figure him out. Monet simply smiled at him, walking out of the room, and shutting the door quietly in behind her. As she approached the stairs going back down to the bar she could hear numerous male voices down below. Stepping into the shadows and peering downstairs she could make out three rough looking riders. They all had guns, all wore their cowboy hats in that rugged way that seemed to somehow fit the demeanor of a gunslinger. The one in the middle had a deep, husky voice, and he almost sounded threatening when he spoke with Patrick. She could make out one word, and it was “Tony.” So, they were looking for him.
