It was a cold evening in 1398 when Lord Templeton was slated to meet his death.
My Job? To let it happen.
After all, I was sent six hundred years into the past to save Lady Templeton’s life.
My name is James “Jim” Christiansen. I am a simple sinner, follower of the Christian mystic, Father Pios, architect, and home-grown Charlestonian.
This story really all started when I began a contract to design and build a mansion on a small island in the Charleston harbor called Castle Pinckney.
Or maybe it was before that: when I learned to shed my body and drift off into the glory of eternity.
It was probably both.
For it was when I was designing the mansion that my mentor, Father Pios, gave me the key to a door that no ‘simple sinner’ was allowed to enter. His ‘key’ was the final hint I needed to enter The Stream—the beautiful tube of light that spirals through the length of eternity: the Stream of Time. With that gift of entry came a quest: to go back to the fourteenth century and save an unnamed saint.
And with that entry came a responsibility: to protect a top-secret U.S. defense system that, unbeknownst to me, would be housed in the mansion that I had designed.
So, come with me; drift out into the joyride of the mystical Stream and spin through time as I attempt to do God’s will throughout the seemingly incompatible worlds of mysticism and espionage.
