When the Sleepers Woke: Student and Book Club Edition

In 2163, the Final War has erupted into almost total human annihilation. American fleet pilot Allan Dane watches the scene unfold from above New York. Enemies overtake them, and soon Allan finds himself ejected and on land, trying to escape a deadly gas that will kill all in its path.

He wakes up some time later to find that while most of the human race is gone, some have survived. It is time to open the hatch in which they have found refuge and survey what is left outside.

What lies in wait for Allan and the others? Are they truly the only humans left on Earth?
