8 Steps to Spiritual Maturity

The eight words from Peter's instruction in 2 Peter 1:5-7 describe God's work in a believer through various steps of spiritual growth. Beginning with the word faith, the believer enters the first step, called salvation, and proceeds through the steps of separation, submission, service, suffering, satisfaction, and sensitivity to the realm of spiritual maturity. The last step demonstrates before others a continual Christlike response in any given situation and displays the special message God has developed in the believer.
